                             RESOLUTION NO.   19995  
                   
                   
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CARTER STREET 
                   CORPORATION TO COMPLETE THE PRELIMINARY 
                   STEPS NECESSARY FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE 
                   TRADE CENTER, PRIOR TO RELEASE FOR BIDDING, 
                   AT A TOTAL COST NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED 
                   EIGHTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS 
                   ($684,000.00), CONTINGENT UPON HAMILTON 
                   COUNTY AGREEING TO PAY HALF OF SAID COST AND 
                   AGREEING TO PAY THE OTHER HALF WHICH SUM IS 
                   TO BE PAID FROM THE FUND BALANCE, AND THIS 
                   AUTHORIZATION IS FURTHER ON CONDITION THAT 
                   IF THIS PROJECT GOES FORWARD, THE FUND 
                   BALANCE SHALL BE REIMBURSED THE ADVANCEMENT 
                   FROM THE FUNDING SOURCES FOR THE PROJECT.
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Carter Street Corporation be and 
       is hereby authorized to complete the preliminary steps necessary 
       for the expansion of the Trade Center, prior to release for 
       bidding, at a total cost not to exceed $684,000.00, contingent 
       upon Hamilton County agreeing to pay half of said cost; and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That there be and is hereby 
       authorized payment of the City's half, which sum is to be paid 
       from the Fund Balance.
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this authorization is 
       further conditioned on the fund balance being reimbursed from the 
       funding sources for the project if the project goes forward.
